I started my career in fitness in Los Angeles, California when I was a graduate assistant in Kinesiology and Physiology at California State University. Long Beach. At that time I was also a US Olympic hopeful, training for the pole vault.  When I graduated from college I wanted to create a career for myself that was meaningful and also generated the income that I desired. For two years I worked as a personal trainer for a large fitness club in Irvine, California and I quickly learned that I had an entrepreneurial mindset and left the corporate fitness world.  Shortly after, I opened my first fitness studio in Newport Beach, California.

Owning a small business was an eye-opening experience for me, after much trial and tribulation I found success as a small fitness business owner. Although I was “successful” (which meant I was training 40 – 50 clients each week), I wasn’t generating the income I desired for long-term financial stability. I knew I had to find a way to earn a significant income and still be able to run my personal training and camp business.

I continued on the same path until 2009 when I found out that I was pregnant.  During the first four months of my pregnancy I continued teaching and training clients.  I also spent 2 – 3 weekends each month presenting personal trainer education courses in other states. At 24 weeks,  my doctor put me on bed rest due to medical issues with the pregnancy. Suddenly, I was forced to lie on my couch and try to put things in perspective with where I wanted my fitness career to go.

I realized that because my daughter was going to be born I needed to leverage my time more effectively and generate a significant income while working less hours. After countless hours of research and thousands of dollars spent on personal development and business coaching I found my true calling, coaching others to empower themselves through taking control of their health and fitness – online.

As my online fitness business became more successful other fitness professionals approached me and wanted to know how they could duplicate what I had done.  Thus, my coaching business was born and I’m proud to say that I have helped hundreds of people reach their physical goals through creative online fitness programs and I’ve helped hundreds of fitness professionals empower themselves to build a strong (online and offline) fitness business.
